Purple Power has come to La Liga and you can be sure that Real Madrid fans and Barcelona fans will be at each others' throats arguing which side wears it better.

On Thursday the La Liga champions and Champions League champions released their home kit and third kit respectively - both of which have purple as the base color!

Here is Barcelona's primary kit:

And here is Real Madrid's third kit:

According to Footy Headlines, the two main colors for Barcelona are referred to as Purple Dynasty and Hyper Pink. Noticeably, the Qatar Airways sponsorship is gone as the club are working on a new front sponsorship deal. Amazon.com have been rumored to be the next big sponsor.

Real Madrid release a white polo shirt earlier today as their primary kit, but also unveiled their third kit - which bore an interesting similarity to their La Liga arch-rivals - a more simplistic, but almost entirely purple design (jersey and shorts) with only white stripes and badges abandoning the main color.

Footy Headlines noted that the last time Real Madrid used a predominantly purple kit was during the 2010-11 season, when they won the Copa del Ray under Jose Mourinho. The last time they used a purple kit as the third kit was the 2006-07 season, when they won La Liga under Fabio Capello.
