PSG has to recruit a striker to compensate the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic but the player they have targeted might be too controversial...
If Paris Saint-Germain have formalized the arrivals of Thomas Meunier, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Hatem Ben Arfa, the arrival of one number 9 is still pending. However the new coach of PSG, Unai Emery, intends to rely on two center forwards forthis season. And apparently he has his eyes set on a striker he knows very well.

The rumors turned out to be true: Carlos Bacca is a target of the Parisian leaders. His agent, Sergio Barila, himself confirmed it in an interview with the Italian media, fantagazzetta: "Atletico Madrid and PSG are asking for information about Carlos but there are other important clubs who have shown their interest as well. For now, Carlos is on vacation and he is resting. So we should leave him alone (...) he has a contract with Milan and we have nothing else to add. Chinese offers? Yes. There has already been a substantial offer in January. But Carlos wants to continue to play at the highest levels of Europe and does not intend to take this offer into consideration. When Carlos comes back home from his holidays, we will speak with the clubs and will analyze carefully the situation. That's all I have to say".
If Carlos Bacca, former Sevilla player from 2013 to 2015, came to Paris, it would be good news for Edinson Cavani who is number 1 in the hierarchy right now. The Uruguayan could recover his preferred position in a 4-2-3-1, a system he is particularly fond of. With Marco Verratti, Pastore, Angel Di Maria and Hatem Ben Arfa or Lucas' help, it is very likely that the player would become even more efficient.
However, the competition is real. Winner of the Europea League in 2014 and 2015, the Colombian is still in shape as you can see with the goal he scored during Copa America against United States.
