FC Barcelona has just achieved a great deal on the transfer market by recruiting a highly targeted player in Europe.
While we were expecting him to sign with Real Madrid, FC Valencia's young midfielder, André Gomes finally chose Barcelona. The European Champion, with his team Portugal, will sign his contract next week as the Catalan club said via a statement on their official website.
The transfer's cost is not known yet nor is the lease term. "FC Barcelona and Valencia agreed on André Gomes' case and he will be presented officially next week at the Club" says Barca's website.
The player was outsanding with FC Valencia during the past two seasons and had naturally attracted the attention of Real, who was planning on making him the successor of Luka Modric. Marca even announced that an agreement had been reached for $55 million. Which makes us think that FC Barcelona proposed more than $55 million to outplay their rival. Seems like the clasico has already begun guys...
