Soccer legend Ronaldinho just made a huge announcement in New York City, on Friday. We do warn you: prepare yourself to cry.
After 18 years at the top in Europe (Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona, AC Milan) and South America (Gremio, CR Flamengo, Atletico Mineiro), Ronaldihno announced he will retire at the end of the season.
"I am an old man now, I am 36," the Brazil superstar said at a press conference in New York City.
"I am no longer 26 like I once was, and I am looking at what I can do to mark an end to my career. The plan is to play one more year.”
Ronaldinho has been without a club since he left Fluminense last September. He is currently looking for a new specific challenge.
“The idea is to play for another year. I’m involved in new projects, related to music and football. As you know, they’re my two great passions.
“It was a dream life. I won everything. It’s impossible to choose a [specific] moment.”
Well mate, you will be able to tell your grandchildren: « I saw Ronaldinho playing soccer! »
