While Zidane is currently flying to Canada for Real's pre-season trip, it seems like a first disagreement might have come up with president Florentino Perez.
After six months of madness on the bench of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane is preparing to launch his first season from A to Z. A launch characterized by the famous pre-season trip, where business and preparations take place. The International brand Real Madrid is now used to traveling around the world during these famous pre-season preparations. If the foreign audience is obviously happy, Madrid's coach has to leave some players back home.
So, Zizou's first wish was to not call in the Norwegian Martin Odegaard for the trip to Montreal. But apparently president Florentino Pérez was far from agreeing with that decision as it was reported by the Daily Mail. The respected businessman Perez had to force his coach to take the Norwegian in his luggage whereas the French would have preferred to rely on his two sons Enzo and Lucas, as well as several other Real Madrid players.
The strategy of Real's boss is simple: allow Odegaard to enjoy good visibility in order to attract recruiters. The short-term goal is to lend the 17 years old player so he can toughen up before attempting to win in Madrid's training. Hamburg and Liverpool might be interested in the player apparently.
Concerning the President's strategy, it could be repeated about another file known as James Rodriguez. The player is considered as one of the favorites of Perez, who would do anything to keep him whereas Zizou wants to push him out. Trouble in paradise...?
The little blond Odegaard has already taken part in some training sessions with the pros which gave him the opportunity to impress Cristiano Ronaldo with his assists...
