Known by all soccer fans for having initiated the ankle-high cleats trend, the Magista are back with some innovations that promise to revolutionize the market.
Nike decided to do things big with these cleats just like their model player Cristiano Ronaldo did recently by winning Euro 2016 with Portugal. The manufacturer announced the release of Magista 2, a pair of cleats made of bright colors and innovations of all kind, that will come out in two versions:
THE Magista Obra II
The ankle-high pair was originally designed for creative players. Phil Woodman, designer at Nike explains that: "We focused on sensory amplification through contact by allowing a better touch with the ball, players are able to be creative, confident and without any distractions on the pitch." In other words, they studied the most used zones by soccer players (inside of the foot particularly) and created an ideal product. It is the same for the socks, that fully embrace the ankle, whereas the heel and sole stabilize the foot.
the Magista 2 Opus
Just like her twin sister, Opus has the same characteristics. However, these cleats do not have the same texture and are not ankle-high.
The Magista 2 - both Obra and Opus - will be officially released July 24th on the application Nike Football. You'll have to wait until the 28th to find it in stores however. So, are you convinced?
