Chelsea holds talks with Lionel Messi’s father in order to convince Argentina’s captain to move to London.
According to The Sun, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has recently held talks with Messi’s agent over a possible move to London. Messi, just sentenced to 21 months jail for tax fraud - but won’t go to jail -, hasn’t given yet any indication he might quit Barcelona.

As discussed with Abramovich, the fee for Messi would smash the $145 million mark. « The meeting is believed to have taken place in the last ten days on Abramovich’s personal superyacht, the Eclipse, » The Sun says. « Chelsea chiefs have been monitoring the tax fraud case which saw both Leo and his father convicted. »
As the Messis feel victimised by Spanish authorities, going to England could be a growing idea in their mind. In addition to that, Chelsea were aware Messi could leave Barca over the tax case. Antonio Conte’s club would be in pole position to capitalise if Messi decided it is over with Barcelona.
