A club recruits two players via Pokémon Go!

The Pokémon GO phenomenon is now making it's entrance in the soccer world to surprise us all.

Stronger than Tinder, Instagram, Snapchat or Whatsapp, Pokemon GO is taking over the world. The augmented reality game has reached crazy levels of buzz in just a few days and the hype it created is real. Therefore, Charmander and company have been circulating everywhere lately, even in the soccer world.

Apparently, Vancouver Whitecaps, present in Major League Soccer, managed to recruit two players by... capturing them via Pokémon GO! It is in a short video of twenty seconds that the Canadian club achieved a stroke of genius inspired by the famous Nintendo license. The question is whether the two new pokemon, Marcel De Jong and David Edgar, will quickly evolve and delight the Vancouver fans.

Even Manchester City and Benfica have gotten in this little game.
