Soccer fans might regret the violence associated with hooliganism but they can definitely salute the remarkable work done by the authorities to fight against terrorism during this period.
According to the daily L'Opinion, "at least two attacks" have been avoided during the competition, including one in the evening of the final game between France and Portugal. "They definitely tried but ended up failing anyway" said a close source.
